Had a Just Eat delivery from here, arrived on time and delivery driver was lovely, i ordered Chicken Skewers and Prawn Noodles (Pad Ka Mow) both were delicious, highly recommend the skewers 😁👌 last time was so good i have ordered from here again this time i had the Pork Skewers which tasted delicious slightly sweet with a tasty authentic Thai taste.
Another fab takeaway meal from Yathai. Super friendly team, great quality food. Only recently discovered Yathai, but will now be a regular when in town. All curries so far have been great. Pineapple fried rice and gyōzas particularly impressed this time. Staff even carried my order to the car for me last time as I was on crutches and had parked some distance away. Thanks.
Food is amazing, no doubt about that. However there seem to be no communication about when they’re going to be at the Quayside market or not. We travelled quite a distance to town just to have Yathai’s food and when we turned up they weren’t there. Same thing happened today. So disappointed and just feel like we’ve wasted our time and petrol to go there!! If you really value your customers,some advance notice would be great. How hard is it when you have social media to just put a post out saying you won’t be there.

Nice to get a table and restaurant open midweek. This was 4th attempt to eat in this area after 8pm. Good waiter who explained the dishes and recommendations. Food tasted nice and served on hot plates.
First time in Japur restaurant in Newcastle . The food was great , the atmosphere was friendly and the service was just right . The restaurant was very clean and the waiters wore white gloves when putting each plate on the table ready for service of each course. Great experience would definitely recommend. J Sutton.
Absolutely love the food. Only lost a star as I’ve ordered the same meal twice and had something that tasted completely different. I get it that there are different chiefs, but I really wanted the same thing again. Would still highly recommend. If you aren’t sure what to try order something with their name in the description. Very flavoursome

Had a Just Eat delivery from here, arrived with in the time and still hot also well packaged! I ordered the Fish Curry (Melt in the mouth pieces of fish) in a spicy rich sauce, the Chicken Varuwal (Tender chicken cubes in a sorta rich spiced sauce with loads of onions) this was tasty too and Rojak Pasumpur which was like deep fried sorta bread with salad, satay sauce and a side of some sorta slaw it was all nice, ive not been to Malaysia but if i had i would probs say this was authentic, cant wait to order again..
Definitely my favourite place for authentic Malaysian food in Newcastle. I love the Nasi Lemak, Lamb curry and the Thali. Definitely try the Thali! everything is freshly made.
Perfect place if you’re looking for the Malaysian mamak vibes in Newcastle. I got nasi goreng kampung (best seller) and milo ice. The nasi goreng is a killer with crispy anchovies (from Malaysia) and would highly recommend if you like spicy food. The owner also suggested to try the chicken rice and mee goreng (both are bestsellers as well.
