I attended Newcastle Foot Clinic as a last resort option for an ingrown toenail and I’m so happy I did. In agony, I attended the clinic a few times to see Laurie and always had amazing service each visit. Both by Laurie and the reception staff. The nail was treated correctly and carefully with chemicals and it has now grown to be healthy again. Thank you to Laurie and team for putting me out of my pain! I’d 100% recommend the clinic 🙂
I go here regular. Just to get my tired hard working feet cleaned up a massaged . Always feel great on the way out. Staff are really friendky and talkative.

James graduated from New College Durham in 2015 and since then has had the opportunity to work all over the UK for the NHS including St James’ Hospital Leeds and also the Isle of Man. Working within the NHS has taught him all there is to know about diabetic wound care and prevention of diabetic foot problems. Later James took the opportunity to work for myFootDr clinic in rural Cairns Australia where he spent most of his times diagnosing and managing foot pain and sports injuries. Now James is taking the opportunity to work outside of the NHS to provide professional foot care in his home town of Newcastle. James was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Within the initial appointment he was able to identify the issue, potential causes, together with exercises/stretches to address each concern, as well as secondary considerations.
James was so knowledgeable, super friendly and made me feel at ease. He diagnosed my problem instantly which wasn’t obvious to me, and sorted my foot out there and then. Was all nicely healed and pain free within a couple of days. Would definitely recommend James and will be back to see him again for some more footcare.
I am so grateful that I found James! I have been having so much pain in my heels for years and it came to a peak after the Great North Run. The expert knowledge I received has mad a huge difference and I really feel like I am on the road to recovery. Looking forward to our next appointment.

I have been a client of David’s for many years now. The service I receive is always courteous and professional. David is very knowledgeable, he takes his time and my treatment never feels rushed. I walk out and my feet feel absolutely wonderful. Helen on reception is always cheerful and pleasant too. I highly recommend the Gait Clinic. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
I am a long-standing clients of David for over 25 years. When I developed foot problems in my late 30s I thought I would never be able to run and hike mountains again. I tried many other podiatrists and eventually landed at David’s door. Here I am in my 60s and still hiking all over the world. David’s treatment including custom made inserts and corn removal is outstanding. His advice on footwear for running and hiking has been excellent. The clinic now offers other treatments also. Anyone visiting the clinic will receive top class treatment by a bunch of professionals in a friendly and caring atmosphere. Simply the best.
Having battled with a painful foot for 8 months and having been to another podiatrist who left me feeling somewhat underwhelmed, I booked an appointment at the Gait Clinic with a sense of desperation rather than optimism. Notwithstanding my own massive logistical b&lls up on timing, David was fantastic (and so forgiving!!) Such impressive knowledge, skills and a really charming and comforting manner. I have left with my exercise sheet and some kit and I have a real sense of hope that this problem will finally be sorted out! THANK YOU!! Highly recommended 🙂
