Our room has a lovely view of the church, location is very good and accessible to most local sites. The room was good but did have a bit of musty smell which fortunately disappeared after we opened the window in the toilet, so it was not a major issue for us. Breakfast was served fresh, still hot on the plate and food was tasty. Susan, one of the receptionists is quite lovely and considerate as we had a late check out during that time and she allowed us to extend for a bit of time. Other staffs were nice too. Our overall stay was great and comfortable.

From check in to check out nothing was too much trouble from any of the staff. The Bar & restaurant have recently been refurbished & are light bright modern and very welcoming. The breakfast was plentiful with good variety. The room was clean & spacious with plenty of storage & good size TV. Our bathroom had not been modernised but having seen many others that are, it would seem there is a program of works to upgrade them happening. The prices at the bar are reasonable for a hotel. The location is a 10 min stroll to the Metro station where you can get anywhere and 5 minutes walk to the hustle and bustle of the local pubs & restaurants of which there is plenty of variety. Buses run straight past the front door.

Brilliant location, right in the middle of Jesmond. All staff have been incredibly friendly and have made me feel completely welcome. Rooms are clean and comfortable, I’d recommend here for a short or long stay! Restaurant attached is brilliant. breakfast each morning was enjoyable, with a quick service.

Super nice rooms with great beds. Only drawback was that the toilet were located in the hallway, not the room.

A beautiful house ,with lovely comfortable rooms that are decorated with an ecclectic style that compliments the rooms really well. Owner David a very host and made you feel very relaxed like it was your own home ( I wish!) Gardens around hotel fabulous well kept with a lovely show of spring flowers.

We’ve had an absolutely fantastic 3 night stay here at Hedgefield House in a four poster room which is so large, clean and beautifully decorated. Our host was absolutely great and is very friendly and helpful. Staff left us a beautiful gift of truffles for our wedding anniversary too! thank you so much for everything – your thoughtfulness has been absolutely incredible, Hedgefield House – we will 100% be back.

When we arrived, the reception area was in almost complete darkness and the lad on reception wasn’t the most welcoming.
Recently stayed here with my partner for a few days, our actual stay there was really nice, although the staff were friendly, they seemed quite bored and unsure of most things, the apartment itself was nice and clean. We had booked a one bed apartment direct on their website, but when we checked in they told us it was a 2-bed, so we had a whole room that was not needed, there was also a £200 refundable fee upon check in “in case” we took anything from the mini fridge, this fee was not stated anywhere on the website, nor was it mentioned during the booking process, so it was a very big shock to both my partner and I, we reluctantly paid it – and I am still waiting for the money to come back (they told us it would take 3-4 working days, or up to 14). Wouldn’t really recommend this place, I’d say go to the Vermont itself, as the staff there seemed a lot happier.
Beautiful apartment but outside needs to be clean and main door needs fixing.
