Yay! They have punch bags! Definitely missing some workout machines but with pool and sauna that makes up for it. Best thing about this place is it’s mostly empty of gym goers. The most I’ve ever seen is 5 people. Perfect.
The City Baths is a great gym. It has excellent facilities and amazing members of staff.
I was surprised by some negative reviews as for me the staff have been super helpful and friendly. I only use the pool but as a regular swimmer it’s good value and will be great to be able to go again without booking at weekends. I would remove half a star for cleanliness ! It’s fine now but already the grouting in the showers is getting old with touches of rust .

Elswick Community Leisure Centre has been championed by local residents and supporters, determined to provide an affordable space for health and fitness, and to ensure the survival of this beautiful building. It is now a community enterprise and powered by people, a professional staff team supported by volunteers who help with events and fundraising.  We offer membership to our pool, gym and fitness classes.  In addition we deliver swimming lessons for all ages and abilities. The main mission here at Elswick Community Pool and Gym is to provide a safe and friendly space for everyone regardless of their age, gender, background and abilities. We strongly believe that everyone should have equal opportunities when it comes to fitness and not only.

What a great pool. We went on a social evening with friends. It is set up just right and it’s extremely clean. There is also a gym above the pool. It has its own private parking space. It is a hidden gem. The door is set in a nature park. I was very pleasantly surprised. The also sell items such as swimwear, goggle etc. The staff are absolutely great too. Thumbs up
Great place for kids, not a huge pool, but good if you’re after swimming lessons.
Brought my 3 month old here and he loved the fact the pool wasn’t freezing cold. Facilities were clean and staff helpful. A little improvement could be the baby changing facilities, I’m lucky he stays still enough for the changing table available but if your baby is more mobile I can imagine it would be difficult. Great price for the baby swim lessons too which we’ll be signing up for in a few weeks.

What We Offer:

A very large executive detached house in private grounds with electric gated entrance. It has five very well sized bedrooms sleeps up to 15 people. Two of the bedrooms have en suite facilities and there is a large family bathroom. The property also has main living room, cinema room, dining room, kitchen and a heated swimming pool. Internet access and telephone are also available (conditions apply) but usually free. It is in walking distance to Newcastle City Centre and Gateshead and Newcastle Quayside. This is a very comfortable house with a perfect location car would be recommended but not essential as it is very close to a very efficient Taxi/Minibus, Bus, metro and train system holiday letting vacation rentals holiday homes

We have just come back from an amazing stay at Moore Park!! We used the house as a base for us attending a local festival and we can honestly say we would of been quite happy to stay in the house all weekend. The house is amazing and so much space and the pool is just perfect! Don & Maria were amazing hosts and couldn’t have done anything more to make our stay so perfect! Thank you for such a wonderful stay and we hope to visit again sometime. Perfect house, perfect hosts and perfect location.
The house was perfect + above what we expected,fully equipped for absolutely everything with no expense spared. We felt that we had free reign of the property and could celebrate freely whilst also respecting the place too.
A great house to spend the weekend with the lads celebrating multiple birthdays. House, Facilities including Pool, Cinema room and decking area on point. Big thanks to Maria and Don too. Friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. Will be trying to stay here again when we next venture up.
