Outstanding service. We used Alan for our own home, and then with my mum’s house which was bought through auction and had a lot of question marks over it. Alan talked us through all the issues, and has gone over and above what we would expect. We can highly recommend AJ Walton.
AJ Walton provided a thorough, detailed level 3 survey with lots of photographs. Where problems were identified, remedial steps were suggested. Alan was more than happy to talk me through the survey on the phone.
Alan did a fully comprehensive Technical Report to a very high standard in which I was very pleased with the results I would recommend his services without hesitation.

Ross provided a level 3 survey for us. We chose him based on the services he offered, experience and the good reviews he had. We are happy to sing his praises too!
I’m so glad that I opted to have Ross carry out a RICS level 2 Homebuyer’s Survey on my behalf. As a first time buyer, he’s made this part of the process seamless. He offers useful advice and explains things in terms that can be understood so that you definitely have all of the information required to consider whether you want to purchase the property.
I couldn’t recommend him highly enough to anyone needing a survey done in the area. He is extremely approachable and thorough and will definitely go the extra mile to make sure you fully understand his findings.

REVIEWS

Adrian completed a survey on the property we have subsequently purchased. He arrange the survey promptly with the vendor and I received the report a few days later. It was extremely comprehensive with photographs of any areas highlighted in the report. I was very impressed with the level of detail which highlighted minor areas that needed to be addressed should we purchase the property
I used Smith Marston to carry out a full building survey on an old house I was buying. The communication throughout was excellent and the survey report was completed quickly after the visit. It was very comprehensive and informative, with lots of interesting information and photos. The follow up phone call to clarify some issues was also very helpful. In summary the service was excellent at a very reasonable price.
I was mid-way through an extension on my bungalow when the neighbour complained about the party wall height demanding it be reduced. I had planning permission, building control and had a party wall document signed by my neighbours giving the OK to proceed. The neighbours quoted right to light and contacted the council. I was in a position of not really knowing my rights until I contacted Adrian Marston and give him all the information. Within hours he had replied to my enquiry and sent me all the relevant information to which I could respond to my neighbour and council planning. This lifted a great weight from my shoulders and give me the confidence to counter the complaint.
